Delete your account and data
Last updated: 3 August 2026
This page explains how to ask us to delete a NIKATRU account, what deleting it removes, and what is kept afterwards. It covers accounts in our apps. If you only signed up on this website to be told when we launch, see the launch list below — that is a separate list.
1. Ask us by email
Email [email protected] from the email address the account uses, and tell us which app the account is for. Sending it from the account’s own address is how we confirm the request is yours; if you cannot, we will ask you for something else that shows the account is yours before we delete anything.
We do not publish a turnaround time on this page, because we will not state a deadline we have not committed to. What we will do is confirm to you, by reply, when the deletion has been carried out.
2. In an app
Every one of our apps that offers accounts has a Delete account control, and it is in Settings: open Settings, choose Delete account, and confirm. You will be asked to enter your password first, so that somebody who picks up an unlocked device cannot delete your account.
If the app tells you the deletion could not be completed, use the email route above. An app that says it failed has not finished deleting anything — we would rather say so, and say exactly which part did not happen, than report a deletion you cannot check. We will not refuse a deletion request because of where you asked.
3. What deleting your account removes
Deleting the account removes, for that account:
- the sign-in record itself — after this the same email address and password no longer sign in anywhere, which is how you can check the deletion actually happened;
- the record of what you have paid for and what you are entitled to use;
- the link between the account and any subscription held with the payment provider;
- any request you made to cancel a subscription;
- the payment notifications the payment provider sent us about that account.
Deleting the account does not cancel a subscription by itself. Cancel first, in the app or with the store you bought from, or you may continue to be billed — see our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
4. What is kept, and why
- Usage statistics and consent records. These are recorded against a random identifier created by the app on your device, never against your account, and we hold nothing that connects the two. That means we cannot single out which of these records are yours — so they are not deleted with the account, and we would be misleading you to say they were. You can turn usage statistics off at any time in the app; see our Privacy Policy.
- Records of a payment we could not match to any account. If money reaches us and we cannot work out whose it is, we keep the record — it is the only thing that lets us resolve it later if you get in touch. If such a record had been matched to your account, the link to your account is removed when you are deleted; the payment record itself stays.
- What you created inside an app. The records listed in section 3 are removed, but the content you entered in an app — for example the subscriptions you track — is held in that app’s own database, which the deletion route does not yet reach. Once your account is gone nothing links that content to you and no sign-in can retrieve it. Email [email protected] and we will delete it as well; this paragraph comes down when the route covers it.
- Anything the payment provider holds. Purchases through the Apple App Store, Google Play or the Microsoft Store are held by that store under its own policy, and deleting a NIKATRU account does not delete anything on their side.
5. The launch-notification list on this website
If you gave us your email address on nikatru.com to hear about launches, that address is stored separately from any app account, and deleting an app account does not remove it. Email [email protected] and ask to be removed from the launch list, and we will delete the entry.
6. Contact
