About Nikatru
Who we are, what we build, and where we actually stand.
Nikatru is a one-person software business in Chennai, India. We build small, careful cross-platform applications — the same app on iOS, Android, Windows, macOS, Linux and the web — and we publish them under our own name rather than doing contract work for other people's products.
The legal entity
Nikatru is the trading name of a sole proprietorship of Rajasekar Selvam, registered in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. A proprietorship has no legal identity separate from its proprietor, so "Nikatru" and "Rajasekar Selvam" name the same legal person — that is the name on our registrations, our bank account and our contracts.

What we build
Everyday utilities, built once and shipped everywhere. The apps are written in Flutter so that the web version, the mobile versions and the desktop versions are genuinely the same product rather than three half-matching ones. They are designed to work with the minimum of personal data, and to keep working when you are offline.
Our first app
Nikatru Subscription Tracker — Track every subscription in one place. It is live on the web now at nikatru.com/subscriptiontracker. It is the only app we have published so far.
Where we actually stand
- Nikatru is pre-revenue. We have not sold anything yet.
- Paid checkout is not open on this website. Nothing on nikatru.com can be bought today.
- Every app named above is live, on the web. Store releases are being prepared, not announced.
- The business is one person. There is no team, no support desk and no investor behind it, and we do not claim otherwise anywhere on this site.
When we do start selling, international purchases will be handled by Paddle as our merchant of record and purchases in India through Razorpay. The terms are already published, in advance, on our Terms of Service, Refund & Cancellation Policy and Shipping & Delivery Policy pages.
Why Nikatru exists
Nikatru started with one goal: make well-crafted, privacy-respecting apps that work on every screen, and stand behind them afterwards, which is the part most software skips. It is one person, named, with an address you can write to: if an app of ours costs you money or loses your data, there is exactly one person to answer for it. Support is answered by the person who wrote the code: one developer, one inbox, and no chatbot in front of it.
How the apps are built
Each app is built once, from the same codebase, and tuned per platform rather than shipped as a watered-down port. No app carries an ad SDK or an analytics broker, and no data is sold or brokered to anyone. A store is named on this site only once the app can actually be downloaded there: the channel marks are generated from the release register, and a false badge fails the build. Every policy change is kept, dated and readable after the fact.
The founder
Nikatru is built by Rajasekar Selvam, an independent software developer in Chennai. He is the proprietor, the developer and the person who answers support@nikatru.com. He is also the named Grievance Officer for privacy, data-protection and consumer complaints.
